What are the best activities or must-see attractions for a Star Wars lover?

Bright Suns, Megan! When wandering around Black Spire Outpost in Batuu, this is often how you will be greeted. My husband, son, and I are all big fans of Star Wars. In fact, 2 years ago yesterday we were at the opening day celebration of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. We entered the park before 4am and were among the first guests to experience Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run. It was crazy and cool and fun! Three months later, my husband and I returned for the opening day of Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, too!

For the ultimate Star Wars experience, you will want to be sure that you have secured your park reservation for Disney’s Hollywood Studios for your desired day. At 6:55am that day, you will want to be awake and ready to try to get a boarding group for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance right at 7am. Should you not be successful, you can try again at 1pm, as long as you are in Hollywood Studios.

Once you arrive to the theme park for the day, you will want to head to the left of Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. You could also make stop to ride this attraction, it’s really fun!

As you turn the first corner past the lake, you will see a giant AT-AT. This is the Star Tours attraction, where you can take a “tour” through the galaxy with C3PO as your “guide”. This attraction usually has a lower wait time than Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run

Upon exiting the Star Tours attraction, you will turn left, and see the entrance into Batuu! As you pass through the tunnel, you’ll be greeted by another world! This fully immersive land makes you feel like you’ve landed on Batuu, and left Earth behind. Be sure to peek into Doc Ondar’s Den of Iniquities for some fun shopping, as well as grab a bite at Docking Bay 7. You can also plan to Build your own R2 or BB unit at the Droid Depot or create a light saber at Savi’s Workshop.

A stop at Oga’s Cantina for a drink and a jam session with DJ R-3X is a must as well. If you haven’t yet secured a reservation, be sure to stop by there as soon as you enter Batuu and see if they have a same-day waitlist. I know your Star Wars loving family will be in awe upon seeing the Millennium Falcon for the first time and getting the opportunity to actually drive it will be one of the highlights of your visit to Black Spire Outpost.
