Hi Stephen,
From your question, I can already tell that you are planning the most magical trip ever to Disney World. You are on the right track by making sure that you have everything booked in advance so that once you arrive you can just relax and enjoy your vacation!
Dining reservations, fireworks dining packages, and dessert parties are my favorite parts of any Disney World vacation. There is something extra magical about 60 days before a Disney World vacation because it is the day that all dining reservations and
Enchanting Extras open up for booking. If you aren't a morning person, that 6 AM wake-up call can feel like a lot but I promise it is worth it to get all of the wonderful experiences for your upcoming trip!
My favorite fireworks dessert party is the
Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Party: Seats and Sweets. This one is extra special because you get a guaranteed patio seat for the Happily Ever After show to relax in while you enjoy all of the delicious desserts and drinks. Some of the other options will have you watch in a standing reserved area either before or after the dessert party but I prefer a seat for the fireworks.
I recommend having a plan for exactly what you want to book before you are 60 days out from your vacation. This will help you to have a game plan for the day that your booking window opens. We make it a family experience where one person books dining reservations at 6 AM and the other works on booking the Enchanting Extras so we can get everything we want. While you are creating that plan, I recommend checking out some of my favorite Enchanting Extras at Animal Kingdom. The
Savor the Savanna experience and the
Wild Africa Trek are some of my family's favorite things we have ever done at Disney World and took Animal Kingdom to the next level for us.
Happy Planning,
Jenna
