Hey Howdy Hey Carol,
I am thrilled you stopped back at planDisney with this great question! One of my favorite parts of planning our next
Walt Disney World Resort vacation is selecting the Disney Resort we are going to stay at. There are so many choices in the area that it can be hard to select but choosing a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel is always our preferred option.
There are a
number of reasons to stay at a Disney World Resort. This starts with extra time at the theme parks. Disney Resort Guests are able to enter the four theme parks 30 minutes before the opening time. While that may not sound like a lot, it is plenty to get ahead of the crowds at the most popular attractions. We often can get a couple of attractions crossed off our must-do list before other Guests arrive. On top of the early entrance, Guests that are staying at select Disney Resorts have the opportunity to enjoy
extended evening hours at either
Magic Kingdom or
EPCOT depending on the day of the week. The next benefit to staying at a Disney Resort is access to complimentary
Resort Transportation. The buses, monorails, skyliner and boats are convenient and will easily move you around the resorts, theme parks and
Disney Springs. And don't forget, Disney World Resort Guests have the chance to make their
advanced dining reservations before Guests that are staying off-site. This is a big advantage when you are trying to snag a dining time for the most popular restaurants.
Another great benefit is you will be able to use your
MagicBand+ to unlock your hotel room and charge back to your resort account. I love this as I do not need to keep up with my hotel key or credit card as my MagicBand+ handles these needs and I do not need to look any further than my wrist. But I have saved what I think is the best benefit for last. It is the ability to stay right in the middle of the magic for the entire vacation. Staying at one of our favorite Disney Resorts makes it easy to take an afternoon break at our resort pool, or hop over to a neighboring resort for a bite to eat. Plus, each resort has its own unique personality sprinkled with an extra dose of magic around every corner. We love the different themes and how each resort has plenty of fun activities and amenities for its Guests.
I hope this helps you make the perfect choice for your upcoming visit, and if I can help with any additional planning questions, please stop back and
see me.
With pixie dust,
Margaret
