I believe a small backpack is allowed at WDW, but would it also be allowed on all of the rides? If there are specific rides that do not allow backpacks, do you know which ones? I would rather not hunt down a locker in the middle of the day. Thanks!

Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel with your great question, Lucy!  Guests are more than welcome to bring backpacks into the theme parks. I am happy to tell you that guests are allowed to bring backpacks onto all of the attractions including the "thrill rides." My husband always carries a backpack and I like to carry a small messenger bag. Many attractions have a storage compartment in front of you once you sit in the ride vehicle; however, my bag sometimes fits and other times it doesn't depending on the particular attraction. I usually store my bag at my feet or hold it on my lap depending on the specific attraction. We have never felt the need to rent a locker at the theme parks.  I hope this information eases your mind. Please don't hesitate to write me back with any additional questions. Best wishes for a magical trip, Lucy!
    Happy Planning,
