Are there any behind the scenes activities that we can that our 3yr. son with us. We will be there between Jan. 8 and 31 with a cruise in the center.

Nearly all of the backstage tours and activities at WDW require that participants be at least 16 years old. Disney does not want the Magic spoiled for small children by having them see "the man behind the curtain."

The behind-the-scenes tour that takes guests of any age is the Behind-the-Seeds tour at the Land pavilion at Epcot. I have been on this one-hour tour with my kids twice with great success. You can read about my experience HERE. I have also taken the on-stage Family Magic tour with my children more than once, which they greatly enjoyed.

If you're looking for a more in-depth behind the scenes tour such as Keys to the Kingdom or Backstage Magic, your best bet is to hire a sitter for your son. Disney contracts with several reputable babysitting services that can watch your son for a few hours while you have some grown-up tour time.
