    Hi! I am beginning to plan a trip to Disney World in April 2016, however I am hesitant to make my room reservation in case any discounts are released for that month. Do you know if I can apply a discount to an existing room reservation?

    Hi, Christine! Walt Disney World Resort offers great room and package discounts frequently throughout the year. You are more than welcome to book your choice of Resort hotel now if you would like. When a Special Offer is released for your travel period, you can easily have it applied to your reservation. Understand that there may be excluded Resort hotels, room types, or dates. Because of this, many Guests will modify their travel dates or change Resort hotels to fit the qualifications of the Special Offer.

    There are a few ways to modify Resort reservations. Some reservations can be modified online by pulling up the details of your reservation under My Disney Experience. If you are not able to complete this online or would feel more comfortable having an agent handle this for you, just give one a call at (407) W-DISNEY, or (407) 934-7639. They will be able to help you determine if you are able to apply the Special Offer to your current Resort stay, or if you will need to modify any portion of your reservation so that it can be applied.

    There is no set time when or if Special Offers will be announced. However, there are many websites out there that do keep track of released Walt Disney World discounts. Looking over a few of them, I see that Special Offers for April tend to start arriving around December and into February. Stay tuned to the Walt Disney World Resort Special Offers page to watch for one that best fits your family’s trip next year!
