Lacey,
Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!
Bed sizes can vary, both based on room configurations and by resort. But as a rule, the sizes are mostly the same. Let's compare the standard rooms at
Disney's Pop Century Resort, a Value resort, to those at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, a Deluxe resort.
In the Pop Century rooms, most beds are queen size beds. There are some rooms where instead of two queen beds, you get just a single king size bed, but those sizes are fairly standard. Similarly, in the standard rooms at the Animal Kingdom Lodge you have rooms mostly equipped with two queen beds, and again a few set up with just a single king size bed.
BED SIZE BONUS TIPThere are some unique rooms created by Disney to accommodate larger parties where they additionally use sleeper sofas and pull-down singles. These beds can be non-standard sizes. But the main beds in these rooms should also be consistent in terms of size.
As to your question about your scooter, I just confirmed with Disney a few minutes ago that you are allowed to leave your scooter outside your room, as long as it is not blocking other guests from being able to pass down the corridor. Also, Disney is not responsible for the scooter, so make sure you don't leave any valuables inside.
