Hi there, Melissa! Thanks for sending your question to planDisney!
While I've never been a fan of chores, I've had to channel my inner Cinderella these past couple of years. Tasks like wiping down door handles and mopping the floors, which used to be occasional, have become part of everyday life. And when we've enhanced our cleaning procedures at home, it's reasonable to expect them when we travel.
Walt Disney World Resorts instituted a range of health safety protocols back when the resorts started reopening in June 2020. Before your arrival, your room will undergo a thorough cleaning, including laundering all the bed linens. In the last several years, the resort hotels have phased out their old bedding in favor of white duvets, blankets, and sheets. Although I miss those colorful comforters, it's reassuring to know that this change allows
Mousekeeping to wash these items at higher temperatures for sanitation purposes.
It's also worth noting that during your stay, your room will receive a light cleaning service every other day, which will include: removal of trash and used towels, replenishment of towels and amenities throughout the room and bathroom, wiping and cleaning of the vanity and counter surfaces, and vacuuming (if you're a Disney Vacation Club Member using your Membership to stay, you'll receive service on the 4th and 8th days). You're also welcome to call the Front Desk to request a bedding change anytime during your vacation.
Melissa, did you know that Walt Disney World Resort Hotel Guests receive
Early Theme Park Entry as an added perk? Just like Cinderella, make sure you're in bed before midnight so you can get up and enjoy this 30-minutes of bonus time! See ya real soon!
