Do the bedrooms in the lion king suite at art of animation have locks on them ?

Hi Shelly! We are so glad you stopped by planDisney today with your question. Welcome!

Hakuna Matata! Are you ready for a stay at Disney's Art of Animation Resort? I was a guest here a few weeks ago, and it is the ultimate Disney Resort for families! The grounds feel like you are stepping into the films that are highlighted in the decor (check out all the fun statues all over!), the proximity to Disney Skyliner can't be beaten, and Art of Animation is home to the largest pool on Walt Disney World Resort property, The Big Blue Pool! I hope you enjoy staying here!

The Family Suite rooms at Art of Animation are interior (you need to walk into the building to access the rooms). The doors have an RFID lock (you can enter the room using your MagicBand, Key to the World card, or your My Disney Experience mobile app). When you enter your room and close the door, there is an additional lock and a flip lock at the top for extra measure. I felt completely safe staying here a few weeks ago!

I hope all of this information was helpful, Shelly! Thank you again for visiting planDisney. I hope you have a magical visit!

    Happy Planning!
