We are in a 2 bedroom villa at the Riviera. For the laundry machines, what detergent should we bring to use? Are they HE washers that use pods? Thanks!

    I’m back, Kristi!

So, last time I extolled the gorgeous grounds of the brand new Disney’s Riviera Resort, now I’ll wax poetic about the inside! You are going to love all of the little details in your Resort hotel room. The beds have beautifully carved headboards that remind me of old-school European beds, and I am in love with the shower curtains! I know that’s funny to say I love a shower curtain, but they echo the mosaic tile across the Resort, and they are gorgeous!

Since you are staying in a 2-Bedroom Villa, you will have a standard stackable washer and dryer in the unit. Laundry soap is provided (usually one bottle, but Mousekeeping is happy to replenish). We tend to bring soap pods and dryer sheets from home in a plastic baggie. That way, we can easily do multiple loads and also not worry about detergent leaking in our luggage. Moms tip - do your laundry the night before you leave so that you unpack fresh, clean clothes at home!

Besides the washer and dryer, you will have a kitchen (fully equipped with pots, dishes, and utensils), ironing board, two bathrooms, and the most fun thing - a hidden pull-down bed in the living room with a gorgeous mural and USB ports!

Kristi, if you have any other questions, you know where to find us!
