Hi Catherine,
Welcome to planDisney!
Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort is such a fabulous place to stay because it is close to everything and you get all the perks of the Contemporary Resort but without the busyness of the main building!
Bay Lake Tower is open to guests that are not Disney Vacation Club (DVC) Members for booking but unfortunately, that does not mean you will also be able to enjoy the Top of the World Lounge. This is a special hangout just for DVC Members and their guests. You have to show a membership card when you arrive to be able to access the lounge. You can bring non-DVC Member guests with you but there has to be at least one DVC Member with a valid membership card for entry.
If you are looking for a top-of-the-world experience, head over to Disney's Contemporary Resort and jump on the elevator to the
California Grill. This restaurant has a lounge that is first come, first served! You can get drinks, savor some small bites, and then walk out on the patio to enjoy the Magic Kingdom fireworks at the end of the evening.
If you are open to taking a monorail ride to an exclusive lounge experience then you have a few more options in close proximity to you. The
Enchanted Rose Lounge at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is my all-time favorite lounge. This lounge is loosely themed with high-end elements of Beauty and the Beast, delicious drinks, and decadent bar bites. I always go for a Kir Royale and the truffle fries! You can also stop at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort for a trip to the islands at
Trader Sam's Grog Grotto. The drinks here come with souvenir glasses and a full experience. If you have never been it is something you have to try at least once.
Happy Planning,
Jenna
