Do any 1 bedroom resorts have 2 beds in the bedroom?

    Danielle,

Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!

Most of the resort rooms at Disney Resort Collection hotels have 2 beds in the bedrooms, whether they are Value, Moderate, or Deluxe hotels. Two beds in the room are standard, and rooms with just one King bed are more of the exception you can request when preferred.

Let me give you some examples.

When I visited earlier this year with my family, we stayed at Disney's Contemporary Resort and we had 2 queen beds in the room, along with a day bed that folds out from the couch. You can book a room with just a King bed and that added day bed, but you certainly can go with the same set-up we had. When we visit Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa later this year, the room set-up should be the same. The only difference is that in the case of this hotel, you book a room, and then when you do your online check-in, you have the option to request the room have the King Bed configuration. Otherwise, they will put you into the same kind of two-bed standard room as I described.

When I am on a solo trip, I typically stay at Disney's Pop Century Resort. At this Value resort, the rooms come standard with one queen bed and one queen-size table bed. Like with the Grand Floridian, you can request a room with just a King bed, but that is the exception, not the standard.

    BONUS BED TIP
What in the world is a table bed? Disney has been equipping more and more of their resort hotel rooms with Murphy Bed-style beds that offer the comfort of a standard bed, but free up more space in your room during the day for your family to relax. In the case of a table bed, the bed is a queen size bed that will fold up into the wall, leaving behind a nice 2-3 person table where you can set up to eat breakfast, or perhaps break out your laptop computer to answer some questions on the planDisney panel!

Please feel free to write me back directly with any room selection follow-up questions you may have. If you let me know where you are thinking of staying, and what kind of room configuration you prefer, I will be glad to offer some guidance.

    Have a Magical Vacation!
