Can the bed rails be safely used on the daybeds that are in rooms at the Polynesian Village Resort? My 2 year old would be sleeping on it but he definitely needs bed rails.

Hi, Jennifer! Thanks for bringing us another great question! The small pull-down Murphy beds that have recently been added to a number of  Walt Disney World Resort guest rooms are perfect spots for smaller guests. These beds are slightly smaller than a traditional twin-size bed, measure around 66" in length, and are built into the storage area of the room. My younger daughter has always claimed it her "tiny princess bed" when we have found one in our room and refuses to allow the rest of us, her loyal subjects, to even sit on it!

I called to speak with one of the Mousekeeping managers not too long ago about bed rails at the Resort hotels. This wonderful Cast Member even had someone attempt to use a set of the bed rails on a pull-down bed while we were on the phone. I am so sorry to tell you that the bed rails that they provide will not fit those small beds. However, they do fit the full-, queen-, and king-sized beds in the guest rooms, so you may need to have your little prince sleep on one of the regular beds. If you think he may sleep well in a Pack 'n Play, you can have a request placed on your reservation to have one stored in your room.

I hope you have a magical day, Jennifer. Please let us know if you have any other questions as you continue to plan your trip!
