Hi, Kimberly, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
California Grill is one of my family's favorite dinner spots at Walt Disney World Resort. I've heard fabulous things about its brunch, but I haven't experienced it yet. It does look like there aren't any reservations available for Sept. 22 right now, but I wouldn't give up hope! I had a hard time booking reservations at California Grill at our 180-day window last time we went, but I was able to get a prime spot less than a week before our trip.
When I encounter an attraction or a restaurant without availability, I just occasionally check using the
My Disney Experience mobile app to see if something has become available. In the more than seven years I've been making dining reservations, there have only been a few times when I wasn't eventually able to get what I was looking for.
If the California Grill brunch doesn't work out for you this visit, I would recommend
1900 Park Fare's brunch at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, or any of the
brunch options at Disney Springs.
Trattoria al Forno at Disney's BoardWalk serves its Bon Voyage Adventure Breakfast until 12:05 p.m., too. Each of these offers a different experience than California Grill, but each is special in its own right.
I hope your first choice works out for you, Kimberly, but you can't go wrong with any of the alternative options!
Best wishes,
Amy
