Hi there, Mimi!
Welcome back to the magic of Disney planning here at planDisney! I’m so glad you’re hoping to take in the Beacons of Magic on Spaceship Earth. It’s truly one of the most breathtaking sights at EPCOT! Seeing that shimmering display of lights dance across the sphere is pure Disney enchantment!
You’re absolutely right. The show begins at dusk and continues to run throughout the evening, with sequences playing approximately every 15 minutes. While there isn’t a set “end time,” the Beacons of Magic moments typically continue until the park closes.
Mimi, did you know the show features different sequences throughout the year, sometimes themed to EPCOT festivals or special celebrations? If you love The Muppets as much as I do, you’re in for a treat! Since you’ll be arriving on Monday, February 24th, you’ll be visiting on the very last day of the
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts! That means it’s your final chance to catch the Rainbow Connection sequence on Spaceship Earth! Seeing those dreamy lights dance to Kermit’s iconic song is a limited-time kind of magic, and my Muppet-loving heart nearly burst when I saw it! So, if this one’s on your Disney bucket list, don’t miss it!
Just a little heads-up! While Spaceship Earth will still shine and shimmer beautifully during
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours, there may not always be a full Beacons of Magic light show after regular park hours. That said, entertainment offerings are always subject to change, so you never know what extra pixie dust you might catch!
I hope this helps as you plan your magical evening at EPCOT! If you need any more tips, like the best spots to grab a snack while watching the show (spoiler alert: I’m a
Karamell-Küche treat girlie), just ask! I’m always happy to help sprinkle a little extra caramelized pixie dust!
See ya real soon! ~ Emille
