Are there any beaches at a walkable distance to each of the following ports: Grand Cayman, Costa Maya, Cozumel Or do we have to absolutely book an excursion to get to a beach?

    Ahoy Stephane!
It is wonderful to hear from you again!  Most of the beaches near these ports of call are too rocky for swimming.  The beach excursions offered by the cruise line are a great way to go because they let the tour operators worry about all the details including your transportation.  But, you will find plenty of taxis and shuttles at the pier to take you to local beaches as well.  If you do decide to go out on your own be sure to leave plenty of time for your return to the ship.  Also, you will be able to enjoy the best beach of all on your cruise when you visit Castaway Cay on the last day.  You may decide to wait to for your beach day on Disney's island paradise and enjoy other adventures ashore in the Western Caribbean.  And don't forget about everything there is to do on the ship because you can always stay aboard to experience it as your destination.
