Welcome back to the Moms Panel, Tanya! How exciting that you only have a few short months until your magical holiday at Walt Disney World Resort!
You are going to soak up a lot of sun and fun at
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park! My favorite attraction is Miss Adventure Falls, but if anyone in your travel party likes thrills, the Humunga Kowabunga slide is the way to go as it drops five stories in just a few seconds (hold onto your suit)! And Ketchakiddee Creek is a great water play area for younger Mouseketeers. As you can see, there's something here for everyone!
We rented a Beachcomber Shack when we went a couple summers ago, and it was the ultimate way to spend the day at the water park! The amenities in the shack include six cushioned chairs, pool towels, a locker, refillable drink mugs, and a cooler filled with water bottles. Plus, it provided a comfortable home base with plenty of shade. Pricing for the Beachcomber Shacks is seasonal and subject to change, but currently, the price in May is $362.10 (price includes tax). If you're interested in a less expensive option, the Getaway Glen Umbrellas are $74.55 and includes two reserved loungers, two reserved beach lounge chairs, a small table, umbrella, and towels. Take a look at the
Typhoon Lagoon map so you can see the locations of the Beachcomber Shacks (B) and Getaway Glen Umbrellas (U). I'm sorry to say there isn't an option to book these rentals online or via email. However, the Cast Members at Enchanting Extras are extremely helpful- give them a quick call at (001) 407-WDW-PLAY or (001) 407-939-7529.
Typhoon Lagoon is really going to float your boat, Tanya! Have a swimmingly good time on your holiday this summer!
