Hi Shannon!
Thanks so much for writing back! My family has visited Key West on several cruises and thoroughly enjoys this charming port of call! It is a great area to walk and a very friendly town!
The beach area has a rocky bottom so it really isn't the best option on your visit so I would save your beach time for Castaway Cay. If you are looking for a wet adventure in the warm, south Florida sun, the
Key West Catatmaran Sail and Snorkel or the
Snorkel, Kayak and Dolphin Watching Adventure are great choices for some splashtacular fun. But, since you are snorkeling on Castaway Cay, you may want to take some of the sights of this quaint area by booking the
Old Town Trolley or Conch Train Tour. It will hit the highlights and still will give you time to explore the downtown area on your own. The distance back to the ship is only about a five minute walk.
I hope these suggestions help, Shannon. Please keep me posted if you think of anything else.
Have a magical day and thanks for visiting the Moms Panel!
Nancy
