The Beach Club offers a room choice of "2 queens".. Does this mean that there are 4 queen beds in a 2 bedroom unit?

    Hi Sue!

That is a great question, one that I think can be confusing to many Members, so I’m so glad you asked us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel! There are two types of 2 Bedroom Villas available at Disney’s Beach Club Villas, and when booking you may have a choice of which type, depending on availability.

Most Guests are familiar with a 2 Bedroom “Lock-off” Villa. This room is made up of a 1 Bedroom Villa and a separate Deluxe Studio Villa that are combined with an adjoining doorway. These villas can be combined to create the 2 Bedroom, or the adjoining doorway can be locked off to create two separate rooms.  In this layout, the Deluxe Studio portion of the room would have one queen bed, and one queen-size sleeper sofa, the living room would have another queen-size sleeper sofa, and the master bedroom would have a king bed.

Disney’s Beach Club Villas also offers Dedicated 2 Bedroom Villas. In these rooms, the secondary bedroom is not a stand alone Deluxe Studio. It does not have a separate entrance, or a locking door between it and the living and dining area of the villa. In these rooms, the secondary sleeping area has two queen beds, rather than the sleeper sofa. The overall sleeping arrangements in this room would include the king bed in the master, a queen size sleeper sofa in the living and dining area, and two queen beds in the second bedroom.

My family usually prefers the lock-off style room, since my children sleep on the sleeper sofa in the living room, my parents can access their studio portion of the room at night via a separate entrance and not wake the grandkids. For some Members, having a second queen bed is an advantage over the second sleeper sofa. I hope this helps solve the queen size mystery at Disney’s Beach Club Villas for you!

Hope your day is just beach-y!
