Hi Scott,
Welcome to
planDisney! I’m always happy to chat about
Disney’s Vero Beach Resort with a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member so let’s hop to it.
I spoke with a Cast Member at Disney’s Vero Beach Resort and inquired about the beach access during turtle-nesting season. The beach is a public beach and while it doesn’t close at night, Guests are encouraged to respect the turtles and their environment. They can do so by not using flash photography and if using a flashlight, they should have infrared LED bulbs as these don’t disturb the sea turtles. If you happen upon a nesting turtle, give her lots of space and don’t disturb her tracks. This is what the
Disney Conservation Team Wildlife uses to locate a nest so it can be tracked and marked.
Disney’s Vero Beach resort is a treasured place for my family to visit, we particularly love visiting during the turtle-nesting season. We enjoy walking the beach in the early morning with the Disney Conservation team.
While staying at Disney's Vero Beach Resort, be sure to explore the wide variety of activities on offer. Stop by the Front Desk to pick up the Daily Activities calendar and plan your day. You can enjoy swimming in the
Mickey-shaped pool, play pirate-themed mini golf at
Port Holes Miniature Golf, rent a bike from
Eb & Flo's Rentals, learn to fish, or unwind at The Spa at Disney's Vero Beach Resort.
I hope this information is useful to your vacation planning, Scott. Enjoy your stay at Disney’s Vero Beach Resort - have an incredible time making magical memories!
Welcome Home,
Candace
