We have BBB reservations at 3 PM for our 6 year old and want to take her somewhere nice for dinner after. Suggestions?

    Hi Jessica!

Welcome back to planDisney! I am so glad that you were able to make your reservation for the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique! What a great idea to take your daughter to a nice dinner. You are definitely rolling out the royal carpet for your little one. Within the Disneyland park, I would recommend three places for a fancier sit down meal. You could head to Cafe Orleans in  New Orleans Square, the River Belle Terrace in Frontierland, or Carnation Cafe on main street. All of these places have excellent food. I would recommend checking the menu ahead of time to be sure there is something there that your daughter would be happy to eat. We don’t want your evening to turn into a Biddidi Bobbidi Bummer because of a dinner melt down.

If you want to add some extra magic to your evening, you can upgrade to the Fantasmic! dining package. This allows you to have a three course meal and watch Fantasmic! from a reserved viewing location or from your dining table (based on where and when you are eating). This is great because you have guaranteed seating for Fantasmic! without sacrificing your time camping out to get a good view. The dining package is available at Cafe Orleans, River Belle Terrace, and Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante. You can book this package online or using the app. Cafe Orleans is the only place where you need to secure the dining package in person.

I wanted to touch on your previous question Jessica, of when is the best time to book at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. Really the answer is there is no “best” time because it really depends on your child. If they struggle to get up like Anna on Coronation Day, then an early morning appointment won’t work for you. If they are meaner than a hippo with a hernia by dinner time, you might find it difficult to show up to your appointment in a good mood if it's in the evening.  I would imagine that most of those meltdowns your friend referred to have more to do with kids being overstimulated, tired, and out of their routine than it does with being in a ballgown all day.

I just recently booked a morning appointment at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for my daughter. I know that my girl is more likely to crash in the afternoon, so I felt safer knowing we got the special event done while she was her most energetic. Having an earlier appointment allows me to have a little more options for experiences and photo opportunities after my little one is all dressed up. I also plan on bringing a cute backup outfit, incase she does get uncomfortable in her dress. While this is a different approach, what's important is that you make your appointment based on your child’s needs and interest for the rest of the day.

Princess Tip:  After your appointment, quickly head over to the Royal Hall to meet up to three Disney Princesses. She can get autographs from the princesses and take photos in her beautiful dress (while she is fresh).

Jessica, I hope this was helpful information. Your little one is sure to have a magical time at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. If you have any other questions or need help planning other aspects of your trip, please feel free to write back to me or my fellow panelist, and we would be happy to share our thoughts.

    Best of luck!
