We have a basic ticket package and a dining plan. We have reservations for Hollywood and Vine character breakfast the first morning we are there. Do we have to use our park tickets to enter this restaurant and stay at MGM all day?

The Hollywood & Vine restaurant is inside the Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park. To get to the restaurant, you do need to use a theme park admission ticket. With a basic ticket, you are allowed entrance into one theme park per day. So for you, that theme park would have to be the Hollywood Studios.

If you need a break during the day, you are welcome to leave the park for a while and return later. My family generally takes an afternoon swim or nap break to recharge after a morning of park touring. Or, if you find that you've spent enough time at the Studios, you can then move on to an area of WDW that required no park admission ticket such as dinner at a resort, exploring Downtown Disney, or a round of mini-golf.

If you want to visit more than one theme park during a day, you'll need to add the Park Hopper option to your ticket. You can do this after your arrival at WDW at any theme park ticket window.

    Have a great trip!
