Hi Millie, and welcome to planDisney! Can you believe that your visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth is just a few more days away? I’m a little particular about my soap (which is why I’ve been excited that some resort hotels now have liquid hand soap!), so I’d be happy to chat about securing bar soap for your room.
The exact bathroom toiletries vary by Disney resort hotel, but generally you’ll find liquid shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower and a small bar of soap by the sinks. Recently, I’ve also spotted liquid hand soap at some resort hotels (in addition to the bar soap). If you need additional bars of soap, you can call
Housekeeping from your room phone to request more.
The bars are on the smaller side, so if you’d prefer a full-sized bar of soap, you may want to bring one from home. Or sometimes my family will have groceries delivered to the resort hotel to stock up on light breakfast items and on-the-go snacks. So if you’re planning to do something similar, you could also add soap to your order.
Since you’re a bar soap fan, don’t miss
Basin at Disney Springs and the Grand Floridian Resort. These stores sell the cutest Disney-themed bar soaps, as well as bath bombs, bath salts, and body lotions. They have sinks where you can test everything out, so it’s a fun place to spend some time, and it also smells amazing! In the past, Basin has also had a kiosk at the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, so keep an eye out while you’re snacking at the
Outdoor Kitchens and checking out the
Disney character topiaries! But if you want the full selection of their fresh-sliced bar soaps, you’ll probably have to stop by one of their stores.
I hope you have a magical stay at Disney World next week! And if you have any other questions, you’re always welcome back at planDisney.
