Hello, Lynsey! Welcome back to planDisney. I’m so glad you stopped by with this delicious question. It sounds like you’re planning another magical trip across the pond, and I’d be happy to help.
The
Disney Dining Plan is such a handy way to enjoy your meals without worrying about the bill at the end. I love the flexibility it offers, since you can enjoy lighter meals one day and then splurge the next, and your unused meals and snacks simply roll over until midnight on your checkout day. Just keep in mind that some of the best restaurants at Walt Disney World are considered Signature Dining, which means they require two Table-Service credits per person. The
BOATHOUSE at Disney Springs falls into that category, and it’s one of my family’s favorites. It has the perfect balance of upscale and casual, and you’ll see guests in everything from shorts and T-shirts to dressier outfits.
Now, about that famous S'mores Baked Alaska! I checked with Disney Dining directly, and while it’s an incredible dessert (rocky road ice cream, torched marshmallow meringue, and lots of chocolate goodness), it unfortunately isn’t included as part of the Disney Dining Plan. However, I've heard some reports that you can get it with 4 adult dessert entitlements pooled together. Policies can change from time to time, so I always recommend checking with your server once you arrive, just in case there’s been an update. The great news is that you can always order it separately, and in my opinion, it’s absolutely worth the splurge!
And if you’re looking to add even more magic after your meal, I highly recommend taking a spin in one of the amphicars at BOATHOUSE. My family did this a few years ago, and cruising across the water at sunset is still one of our favorite Disney Springs memories.
I'm sorry I don't have a more definitive answer, Lynsey, but maybe this gives you a new idea for your visit. Please
feel free to stop by with any other questions as you count down to your holiday!
See ya real soon,
Eean
