Bahama cruise MLK weekend '14 - YIPPEE!!!!! I know the averages are high 70's, which will be heavenly considering we are from IL! Will the pools be heated? Kids never seem to get cold...but I do :-)

Welcome back, Mindy! My family loves to sail with Disney Cruise Line in January and February. The past two years we've sailed one of those months, and if January of 2014 is anything like it has been in the past, you will find that it is very warm and comfortable in the Bahamas and Caribbean that time of year.

You'll be coming from Illinois, just as we're from Ohio, so when you leave snow on the ground and head to the beach, you'll feel like it's summertime! My kids don't get cold either, but I certainly do, and besides the windy time at sea and the cooler nights, I'm always very comfortable onboard and at the ports. Do bring a jacket or sweater for cool nights on deck. There are also blankets in trunks on the pool deck so you can wrap up if need be at night.

The pools on Disney's ships are heated when the water temperature drops below 75 degrees.
Also, did you know that the pools on Disney Cruise Line are fresh water, not salt water like many other cruise lines? I love this, and actually my kids enjoy that even more so that they don't worry about their eyes stinging!

You've got almost a year to plan this exciting adventure, Mindy, so please stop back with any other questions you might have!
