Hello, can a baggie be filled with loose ice and used in a small cooler while in the parks?

Hi Brenda!  Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  We are most happy to help you with the answers to all your questions so you will be well-prepared for your trip this fall.

You might recall an announcement last spring about a few updates to the Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules.  In order to streamline the bag check and entry process, loose ice within coolers or containers is no longer allowed.  Reusable ice packs are recommended, if possible, or you may also use small baggies of ice cubes.  Sandwich or quart-size zip-top bags would be fine, but I wouldn't recommend larger than gallon size bags.  You could even use the plastic bag from the ice bucket in your resort hotel room.

I also recommend checking the list of prohibited items in the rules, as well as the maximum allowed bag size.  Glass containers and alcoholic beverages are prohibited.  Lockers are available at each theme park and water park if you would like to store your cooler.

Please stop by the Moms Panel again with any additional questions you might have as you plan your Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
