Where do backpacks with food and water go if you want to ride a ride? Is there a designated spot for them or can you bring them with you on the ride?

    Hey there, Kelsey!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! How exciting to be visiting Walt Disney World Resort this fall!

This is a great question! My husband always brings a medium-sized backpack into the theme parks so that we have snacks, bottled water and other park touring essentials at our fingertips. I'm happy to report that you can definitely bring your bag onto the attractions with you. Some attractions do have a designated storage compartment for Guests to place their bags or loose items within the ride vehicle. On the classic attractions, my husband usually holds our bag on his lap or stows it on the floor of the ride vehicle. When riding thrill attractions, he stows it on the floor of the ride vehicle, but sometimes wraps the strap around his ankle for extra support. Of note, bags should not be larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high.

Lockers are also available to rent at the theme parks and water parks if you decide to store your bag throughout the day.

I hope this information is helpful to you, Kelsey. Let us know if you have any new questions. We would love to assist you further in planning a magical trip!

    Happy Travels,
    Jodie
