Hey there Elizabeth,
Thank you for reaching back out to
planDisney. You sound like a seasoned cruiser, so I understand wanting to make your transition to
Disney Cruise Line as seamless as possible.
Elizabeth, some of my best sleep has been on my Disney Cruise Line sailings. I don't always sleep well away from home, but there's just something special about it. The bedding and mattresses are just so cozy. I hope you'll find it just as comfortable when it's your turn to cruise later this year. If you'd like to add extra padding, just let your stateroom host/hostess know, and they can add a foam topper. After embarkation, you will have access to your stateroom around 1:30-2:00 pm. Typically, your stateroom host/hostess will be popping in and out that first afternoon, so this is a good time to let them know any special requests. On Disney Cruise Line, you can expect stateroom service both in the morning and at night.
I know how excited you must be to set sail with Disney, Elizabeth. One of my favorite things about cruising with Disney is the opportunity to meet so many of my
favorite characters. You may even find them strolling about the ship, especially on Deck 4! I always like to have my camera handy just in case I can grab an impromptu photo or selfie. It's always a fun surprise when this happens!
Thank you again for cruising by with your question. We hope you'll keep us in mind as you think of more. We always love to help a fellow cruiser.
Have a magical day,
Nancy
