Ahoy, Kenneth!
It looks like you are within days of your vacation on the
Disney Dream! I hope your bags are about packed because it won't be long before the cast and crew are welcoming you aboard.
Disney Cruise Line makes
traveling with little ones very easy, and I learned this firsthand on my first sailing when my son was just 18 months old. We knew there were complimentary strollers available onboard (first-come, first-served), so we traveled to the port with a small collapsible umbrella stroller. Once aboard, we headed straight to Guest Services
to pick up a stroller to use while on the ship and ashore. It was a Peg Perego (always subject to change) and very easy to maneuver down the corridors and when we ventured off the ship. The umbrella stroller folded flat under our bed, and we didn't use it again until debarkation. I don't think you'll have any problem getting a stroller especially if you head straight to Guest Services on Deck 3 upon embarkation. There is a refundable deposit required that will go on your "Key to the World" card.
You'll be happy to know you will not need the stroller on
Castaway Cay because there are both strollers and wagons available at the Scuttle's Cove Tram Stop (first stop) or the second stop, Pelican Point. Again, these are first-come, first-served, but I was just there last month and noticed both stops still had some around noon. There is no deposit required to use these on the island, and it was nice to keep the stroller on the ship sand-free!
Warm wishes for a magical cruise next week!
