Ahoy, Sharon!
Thank you for sending in your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm sure you are already dreaming about all the fun you'll have on your
Very Merrytime Cruise in November. I love how Disney Cruise Line goes all out to celebrate the season with the magical festive decor and holiday-themed events and activities. You'll be in the holiday spirit as soon as you step foot in the beautifully decorated Grand Lobby Atrium!
Sharon, it sounds like you'll be traveling with a baby Mouseketeer on your upcoming vacation. Rest assured, Disney Cruise Line makes
traveling with little ones quite simple. On my family's first Disney Cruise, my son was just over a year old. I was amazed at how accommodating the Cast Members were to make our vacation as easy and stress-free as possible. My advice is to bring any baby food and formula you may need with you onboard, which will need to be pre-packaged and sealed. There will be some available for purchase in the merchandise shops, but you'll find the prices to be a bit more than what you pay at home. In the past, Disney Cruise Line has offered vegetables to be pureed in the main dining rooms, so I recommend speaking to your server on the first night to see if this is available for your little one. If you plan to reserve time at
"it's a small world" nursery!, you'll want to bring baby food and formula to leave with the youth counselors. You'll also want to note that you can reserve a Pack-n-Play portable crib (can be requested online under "Special Requests" on your cruise reservation page) and diaper disposal unit for your stateroom along with bottle warmers and sterilizers once onboard at
Guest Services.
I hope your crew has the most magical time on your Disney Cruise, Sharon! If your little one happens to be crawling by November be sure to enter Jack-Jack's Incredible Diaper Dash. Disney Cruise Line hosts this event to find the fastest crawler on the seven seas, and it's always a lot of fun! Registration begins 15 minutes before to the dash.
Thank you again for cruising by!
