Awesome Panel! Staying at the Contemporary, any special activities for the little ones there, like movies on the beach, play areas, kids events (besides Chef Mickeys). Also how is the pool, heard they recently updated it? Thanks as always for your help!

    Evin,

No, the Contemporary does not have a kids program, per se. They do have an arcade, a beach, and of course a pool. But no child activity center or playgrounds. There is a marina with watercraft, but that does not sound like what you are looking for.

As for the pool, the quiet pool and the standard pool are both basically together. They are nothing all that special, but they are still decent sized pools with a nice view out onto Bay Lake.

So what does that mean for you? Well, the Childrens Activity Center at the nearby Polynesian is as open to you as it is to any guest of that resort, and it is one of, if not the best, on all of the Walt Disney World property. They, as well as the other monorail resorts and the nearby Wilderness Lodge have activity programs that you can participate in. Just ask the desk staff when you check in for information on those programs.

I am glad to help with more specific questions. Bottom line is that the Contemporary provides great rooms, nearby access to the Magic Kingdom, and great dining options.

    Have a magical vacation!
