Hi there! What an awesome panel! I have a very shy 3yo that I want to take to the BBB in DD (Oct). She is in love with the princesses! Is it terribly intimidating or do you think she would be able to deal with the FG's doing her hair and such? Thanks!

Without knowing your particular child it's a bit difficult to make a specific recommendation. So I will give you some things to think about to help you decide ...

The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is a busy place. The space in not particularly large and every Fairy Godmother In Training's chair will be full. Plus, each little princess will have at least one if not several family members crowded around ooohing and aaahing. There will be lots and lots and lots of flash photography. There are many choices to be made at the BBB, which hairstyle, what color nail polish, what color makeup, which tiara, etc. This involves a bit of talking with strangers (or at least having your daughter tell you so you can give the answers). You can speak to your own FGMIT about keeping it low-key, but the place does have a fairly high excitement buzz about it. At the end of the makeover, there is always the big reveal, where the FGMIT spins the girl (or boy) around to see the results. This could possibly be stressful if a child has problems with change or transitions.

Also, ask yourself, does your daughter like playing dress-up? Will she model a Halloween costume for the neighbors? Does she like to play with your makeup or hair accessories? The answers to these questions could be a good indicator of your daughter's comfort level.

How does your daughter to at a hair salon at home? Is she squirmy? Withdrawn? Otherwise fearful? If any of these are the case, then you might be better off waiting for the next trip.

I hope this gives you some more ways to think about your decision. Good luck!
