I am going away for the first time with my 4yr old autistic son, 2 grandmothers, father, grandpop and sister in law, my question is about restaurants, when you make reservations what are you chances when you get to the mealspot you will have to wait?

I just got back from a family trip to Walt Disney World two days ago. We had reservations at table service restaurants for all of our dinners and a few breakfasts. Of the ten meals with reservations, we were seated immediately at three of them. We were seated within five minutes at three meals. We were seated within 10 minutes at two meals. At one meal we waited 15 minutes and at one meal (Le Cellier) we waited almost 20 minutes.

I'd say that this was a fairly typical breakout of our wait times with reservations. (If you don't have a reservation, you might wait for hours or not eat at all, depending on the restaurant and the time of your visit.) Under most circumstances, you will wait less than ten minutes if you have a reservation, but there likely will be a few times when you do have to wait a bit longer than this. Often the restaurant will give you a pager so you can walk around a bit while you are waiting.
