Ahoy, Sheliah!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Planning a Disney Cruise is an exciting time, and we are so glad you decided to stop by with your question. The first time I cruised I was not familiar with gratuities and remember having questions as well. It's smart that you are thinking ahead, so you can add the tips into your vacation budget.
For a three-night cruise you can expect to pay the following for each person in your stateroom:
Server $12.00
Asst. Server $9.00
Head Server $3.00
Stateroom Host/Hostess $12.00
The
recommended gratuity amounts are always subject to change, so check the Disney Cruise Line website before your cruise for the most up-to-date information. These gratuities can be either prepaid up to three days before the cruise or will automatically be charged to your onboard account during your sailing. Other gratuities you may want to include in your budget are for room service (cash accepted), adult dining at Palo and/or Remy, the spa and salon (18% gratuity is applied to these services), and for your Port Adventure guides or tour operators (cash). No set amount is expected for these services except for the spa and salon, so the amount you tip is at your discretion. If you purchase an alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage from one of the bars or deck service, a 15% gratuity is automatically added in.
I hope my answer will help you with your plans! Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
Have a magical day!
Nancy
