We will only be available in late May, June, July & early August. I know that none of these months are ideal for avoiding crowds & humidity. Can you recommend the best times out of those months to attend? Any definite times NOT to come during those

    Hey Wendi!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Mom Panel! Thank you so much for bringing us your question.

Of the options you have available, I would chose late May for several reasons:

    1. Crowd levels - In late May, most schools are still in session especially the schools along the East coast. School calendars have a giant impact on the crowds visiting Walt Disney World.
    2. Weather - While it will be warm in May, the brunt of the heat and humidity usually occur in June, July and August. Historically, June also has the highest precipitation of any month of the year of 7.58" followed by July and August as opposed to May which only averages 3.45". (I got this data from Weather.com)
    3. Special Events - Get your Lightsaber ready. Star Wars Weekends occur during the weekends from mid-May to Mid-June. Also, in 2014 Walt Disney World and Disneyland are hosting a Rock Your Disney Side 24 hour event where the Magic Kingdom will be open from 6:00 a.m. on the May 23 through 6:00 a.m. on May 24.

If I were to pick a time to avoid, although anytime you are at Disney is a great time, I would say the week of the Fourth of July. This is one of the busiest weeks of the year during the hottest period of the year.

I hope this helps with your planning. If you have any other questions please come back and see me.

Wishing you a magical vacation and a pixie-dusted day!
