Hiya, Buddy!
Welcome Home and welcome to planDisney! How exciting that you are thinking of using your Disney Vacation Club Points to stay in the great wide somewhere. While I haven't yet been to
Tokyo Disney, it is on our list for 2026! We have, however, used our Vacation Points for other Disney Destinations in dazzling places we never knew.
Buddy, the first thing to do is to visit the
Disney Vacation Club website and scroll to the "Destinations" tab. From here, click on
"Disney Resort Hotels Near and Far." Scroll down to where it says "Disney Theme Park Destinations - International" and select the "Tokyo Disney Resort."
You will see a few Resort Hotels to choose from, so I would recommend clicking on the link that says "View Points Charts." This will help you review the Points needed for each Resort and time of year.
Once you have decided which Resort you want to book, you can call
Member Services who will check the Resort availability for you. When you are ready, they will convert your Vacation Club Points into Reservation Points and make the booking for you. Please note there is a non-refundable $95 transaction fee per reservation required at the time of booking. Reservation requests for Tokyo Disney can be made as early as four months before the desired night of stay, provided that Points charts have been published, through 14 days before your desired check-in date.
There isn't an option on the DVC website to
check availability when using Vacation Points to book a Disney Collection Resort Hotel - meaning one that is not a
Disney Vacation Club Resort. The only option to check availability is to call Member Services, as they need to check eligibility and availability for your request. However, they are like Fairy Godparents - all-knowing, and with the wave of their magic wands, they can make your vacation dreams come true.
I hope this helps you, Buddy! If you have any further questions, stop back here to see me and I'll be so happy to help you. After all, you've got a friend in me!
Magically Yours,
Keri
