Is there an automatic gratuity for large group dining. I know there used to be.

    Hello Ann!

Welcome back!  I'm thrilled to see you've returned to the Disney Parks Moms Panel to ask another wonderful, Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question.  I am so pleased to be able to help answer your question.

I have plenty of experience dining with large groups at Walt Disney World.   My entire family (over 40 members) spends the holiday season at The Most Magical Place on Earth and we often try to plan our meal times together.  Any group of six or more Guests will have an automatic gratuity added to their check.  If you choose to add an additional tip over the percentage they add you can do that as well.    Please note that every person at the table counts towards the group of six, even an infant under the age of 3.   I wouldn't want you to be surprised if this was the case in your situation.  I encourage you to take advantage of Advanced Dining Reservations.   These can be made online and allows for your party to have a reserved spot at the dining locations of your choice.

I hope you have a lovely visit with your large group.   If I can answer any other questions for you, please let me know. I love lending a helping hand every chance I get.
