Welcome aboard, Max! One of my kids' favorite parts of sailing with Disney is meeting with their favorite Disney characters and filling up an autograph book. There will be so many
Character Greetings throughout your sailing with so many of your favorite Disney friends!
Disney Cruise Line used to offer a chance for guests to leave an item at Guest Services to be signed by certain characters and then returned to your stateroom at the end of the sailing. However, this is no longer the case. They now encourage guests to attend the Meet and Greets to have more fun interacting with these characters and getting personal autographs and photos. In all honesty, it is so much more fun for the kids to be there as the characters sign the book just for them, so they have that experience.
One wonderful thing about meeting Disney characters onboard versus in the Disney Parks is that the lines are so much shorter! And, since you're onboard for a few days to a week, there are plenty of opportunities to meet the characters. Most of them are out multiple times, so if you miss Mickey on the first morning, you'll have lots of other chances to meet him later on (and in different outfits, which makes it even more fun!) Meet Captain Mickey, Pirate Mickey, Mickey in his beach gear, or in his formalwear, such fun! Be sure to download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App before you arrive at port. This is used for free onboard the ship to be able to access the Character Greeting schedules, activity schedules, maps of the ship, menus, and a fun texting feature to keep in touch with others onboard while you sail. Check that for the list of when each character will be out to greet guests, and stop by with your autograph book and camera for some magical memories!
Have a fabulous cruise, Max!
