I have an Autistic child who is on a special diet. I needed to know if any of the resort eateries as well as restaurants throughout Downtown Disney can cater to his needs?

Hi Heather! Walt Disney World is very accommodating of guests with special dietary requirements.  Most of the table-service restaurants are able to honor special requests with advance notice, and many of the counter-service restaurants have foods meeting special dietary requirements. Disney has a department dedicated to helping guests with food allergies and dietary concerns. I recommend that you email them at specialdiets@disneyworld.com as soon as possible.  They will send you a form to complete about your son's dietary needs, and they will contact the chefs and managers at the restaurants in which you wish to dine so that his needs can be met.  They can also let you know which quick-service dining locations could best accommodate him. Click here for more information on special dietary requests at Disney.

Hope this helps! Have a wonderful trip!
