Seven is a
fabulous age for a visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth! At that age, my kids were ready for all the thrills of roller coasters and were equally as charmed by
greeting all the Characters. They were ready to try new cuisines at the delicious dining locations that made the grown-ups happy, too. As a bonus, they were excited to help plan out our days by selecting their “must-do” attractions and snacks and loved to choose where to watch the parades and
Nighttime Fireworks Spectaculars. I encourage you to make planning your vacation a family affair since planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation is part of the fun and excitement!
I have a few quick tips to help your planning go smoothly:
1. Be sure to measure your child’s height (in the shoes they will wear during your trip) before the trip. Some attractions, like
TRON Lightcycle / Run and
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, have higher
height requirements than most attractions. I wouldn’t want your young thrill seeker to be disappointed!
2. I highly recommend
building some downtime into your vacation! The theme parks have so much to offer, and so do the Disney Resorts Collection hotels. I’m sure your seven-year-old will appreciate a little pool time and enjoy activities around your resort hotel.
3. Finally, check out

I hope this information is helpful for your planning. Don’t forget, you can always write to us with questions you have about your vacation!
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
