Hi there, Tina!
Welcome to planDisney. I'm so glad you stopped by with this important question. Like everyone's favorite canine Dug from
UP, "I have just met you, and I love you" (and your precious doodle pup). I have a doodle of my own and wish daily that she had a talking collar so we could better communicate. I think we'd all get a kick out of her stream of conscious thoughts. Anyway, before I get carried away, let's get back to your inquiry. I promise not to be distracted by any squirrels while I answer your question.
I'm sure your dog is already trained as a wonderful and vital companion, and I can understand why you'd want them to accompany you on your upcoming trip. Unfortunately, I reached out to a Cast Member who advised that service dogs in training are not allowed in theme parks or resorts. They indicated that the
service animal must be fully certified.
I'm not sure where your dog is in the training process, but I'd recommend reaching out to Disability Services at (407) 560-2547 or via email at disability.services@disneyparks.com to discuss your particular circumstances.
Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows is not on the list of
dog-friendly resorts, but Disability Services will be able to advise you regarding any necessary details or documentation required to bring your dog into the parks or your resort room. You are also welcome to contact
Disney Vacation Club Member Services with additional questions or to inquire about modifying your reservation if need be.
Adventure is out there and the wilderness must be explored, so I'm hopeful you'll find a solution that works for your upcoming visit. If we can answer any additional questions please don't hesitate to hitch a ride on a giant bundle of balloons and float right on back to us. We're always glad to lend a hand and earn a new badge for assisting guests.
Thanks for the adventure-now go have a new one!
Amy
