Hi from Australia! I am making dinner reservations for Chef mickeys for 7 but they cannot guarantee we will sit together. What is gratuity they they automatically charge for over 6 people? would we prorata pay that anyway with 2 smaller tables? :) x

Hi Scott! I've found that anytime I make a reservation for an odd-numbered party, the Disney reservation system gives me the message that we may not all be seated together. However, in my experience, when I've dined at Disney restaurants in groups of 8 to 10 people, we've always been seated together, or in a few instances, at tables right next to each other. Chef Mickey's has several large tables, so I think there's a good chance your party will be seated at the same table there.

When your party has six or more people, an 18% gratuity is automatically added to your bill. In my experience, even when members of the large party pay separately for their meals, the 18% pro rata share is usually added to each person's total.

Hope that you have a magical vacation! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We'd love to help!
