Will Aunty’s Beach House at Aulani ever open back up to its original age minimum requirement of 3 years old? We have a trip planned in May of 2024 and our 3 year old will be one week shy of 4 years old when we visit.

    Aloha, Kristen!

Welcome to planDisney and mahalo for surfing by with your excellent question about Aunty's Beach House at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa.  Kristen, there's no place I'd rather be than riding the Hawaiian roller coaster ride at Aulani. Our family was just there in August for the third time, though this time, my kids are pre-teen and teen. But on our first two visits, my little Keiki were huge fans of Aunty's Beach House and all of the games, arts & crafts, and cultural activities Aunty offers.

Kristen, I just spoke with a Cast Member at Aulani who noted that unfortunately, there is no update at this time if the minimum age will change to include even the smallest Keiki at age three as it once did. She noted in recent years, when the Resort reopened to Guests, the age minimum has gradually gone down to younger ages but at this time, four years old is still the minimum.  While we don't know if or when this may change again, you can continue to check the Aunty's Beach House page on the Aulani website prior to your visit. If a change is made, it will be noted here.

In the meantime, I hope your little one has fun with the many other activities on property such as the Menehune Bridge and the Keike Cove Splash Zone.  I also think your mini-surfer might also enjoy tagging along the Menehune Adventure Trail, which is an interactive scavenger hunt in the pool area that brings scenery to life and reveals hidden treasures on property. While solving the puzzles is really more something that an older child, teen, or adult can do, your little Keiki will surely delight in all of the surprises on property you don't see just with your eyes.  To do this, just check out one of the tablets from the Pau Hana Community Room and you'll be ready for your adventure.

I hope this helps you, Kristen. If you have any further Aulani vacation planning questions, surf back and see me here. At planDisney, we are your vacation planning 'ohana, and that means nobody gets left behind.
