Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Shanice! Thanks so much for stopping by with your question about
Walt Disney World Resort theme park tickets.
Your aunt is so generous! It’s very nice of her to offer to gift you and your family some theme park tickets. While she will be able to purchase Florida Resident theme park tickets for children under the age of 18 to use, you will not be able to use theme park tickets meant for Florida Residents.
Adults who purchase Florida Resident tickets must show
Proof of Florida Residency before they are able to enter theme parks. Your aunt must be present to show identification in order to activate the children's tickets. (If she does purchase tickets for children in your family.) Tickets can be activated at any theme park ticket window or at the Guest Services location at Disney Springs. She would only have to be present on the day the tickets are activated. After that, you can use the remainder of the days purchased by simply tapping your admission card or MagicBand to the sensor at the entrance of the theme park of your choice.
A good alternative to purchasing theme park tickets is the gift of some magical currency. She is more than welcome to gift you a
Disney Gift Card. These magical dollars can be used toward theme park tickets, Disney Resort hotel stays, at restaurants and for merchandise purchases all over the Walt Disney World Resort.
Shanice, I hope this information is helpful to you as you continue to plan your visit. Feel free to stop by again if you have any more questions. Helping you with all the details of your next visit to the most magical place on earth is our pleasure!
