Aloha Cynthia!
I too will be making the journey to stay at
Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa this summer! This will be my second visit to the resort and we are counting down the days. I’m glad you asked this question, because the window for dining reservations has changed since the pandemic, and I need to start thinking about my reservations as well.
Currently, you may make dining reservations 30 days in advance of the day you wish to dine. You will need to
call to make these reservations as the online reservation system is not currently being used. There are also no prepaid dining plans available at the resort. If you like to have your money budgeted and paid in advance, I recommend purchasing
Disney Gift Cards in the amount you wish to budget and use those to pay for your meals. Here’s a little pro-tip: If you shop at Target and have a Target Red Card, did you know you can purchase Disney Gift Cards with the 5% off discount? It’s a good way to save just a little bit more on your Disney trips!
While there isn’t a Disney provided shuttle to the Aulani Resort from the airport, there are multiple outside companies that offer this service. A quick search of your favorite browser should show you several options. You would be responsible for choosing and scheduling your own shuttle if that was how you wanted to get to the resort. I will mention that if you intend to explore the island, you may wish to consider renting a car. This would get you from the airport to the resort and you’d be able to explore the island at your convenience. We are planning on renting a car for our visit. If you are a
Disney Vacation Club Member, you will receive
complimentary self-parking at the resort for up to 2 vehicles!
As for a PIN for your room charges, this can be done by completing
online check-in prior to your arrival at the resort. If you choose not to use online check-in, you will be able to set your PIN at the front desk after you arrive. You should receive an email from Aulani prior to your vacation with the link to complete your online check-in, and you should be prompted to set up your PIN at that time.
Mahalo, Cynthia, for visiting us with your question! I hope this information is helpful. Please let me know if you have any additional questions as you plan your visit. I love chatting about Aulani!
