Aloha, Lidia. Welcome to planDisney!
Aulani has become my favorite Disney resort! We have established a family tradition of spending Christmas there every 2-3 years, and it is the holiday vacation I look forward to the most. Not only do you have excellent Disney service, but you are in the most exquisite setting ever!
As
Travel + Leisure magazine stated, at Aulani, "[you will find] the magical details are plentiful," which at one time included a lei greeting on arrival to the hotel. That's currently been replaced by a fresh beverage service, which we found incredibly refreshing when we arrived last Christmas.
Several private companies offer lei greetings at the airport, which might be a fun way to kick off your tropical vacation. A quick online search pulled up at least a dozen. If you'd prefer to receive a lei at the Resort, a guaranteed way is to attend the
KA WA'A Luau, where you can also watch a demonstration of how they are made before your delicious dinner and
spectacular show.
Check the daily 'Iwa (Aulani's daily activity guide) for possible demonstrations or opportunities to make a lei. There are always plenty of magical experiences at the Resort, including learning how to
play the 'ukulele! It's on my bucket list for when we visit next year.
Lidia, thanks for visiting our 'Ohana. You know where to find us if you have any other questions!
