In August, I am able to make ADRs for our trip over the Thanksgiving Holiday, We are looking for some suggestions of places to eat Thanksgiving Day that serve the traditional Tday dinner. Can you let me know the restaurants I should look into. Thank you.

I spent Thanksgiving 2008 at Walt Disney World. Many restaurants at WDW will have some special food offerings for the holiday. You should be able to find some version of turkey and fixin's everywhere from the value resort food courts right on up to the signature dining venues. The exact menus for 2009 have not yet been released. However you can go to the independent website wdwinfo.com and search for an article called "Thanksgiving at Disney World 2008." You can see here what was offered for Thanksgiving last year, giving you a fair approximation of what you'll find in 2009. Not every restaurant is listed there, but you can rest assured that Thanksgiving will be celebrated everywhere.

We had our Thanksgiving meal at the California Grill at the top of the Contemporary resort. There was a choice of four appetizers: jumbo California roll, butternut squash soup, pork pate, or a fall salad. The entree choices were: oak-fired filet of beef, seared scallops, butternut squash ravioli, grilled pork tenderloin, and of course, spit-roasted turkey with traditional stuffing, potatoes, green beans, gravy, and cranberry relish. The dessert choices were pumpkin cheesecake, warm Valrhona chocolate cake, pecan pie parfait, or apple tart. There were also many lovely wine pairings available. I chose the squash soup, turkey entree, and pecan parfait dessert -- just like home (only better). We were able to have our wonderful meal while watching the Wishes fireworks display from the restaurant windows. So special.

I have already made our reservations to visit WDW again this Thanksgiving. I'm hoping that we'll be dining at Artist Point in the Wilderness Lodge. I adore both the food and atmosphere there. I'm sure they'll put on quite a spread!
