Hi Beth!
Welcome to planDisney. Planning a trip to the
Walt Disney World Resort can be a little complicated when dealing with refurbishments, ride closures, and action. Especially when it is happening to your favorite attractions, or at your resort of choice. At this moment, there are several projects occurring throughout the Walt Disney World resort. In
EPCOT, Moana’s Journey of Water is under construction and expected to open sometime in 2023. Disney's All-Star Sports resort is set to receive a resort-wide refurbishment to update the rooms.
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is currently adding a Disney Vacation Club tower to its footprint, so areas of that resort are under construction as well.
Beth, at this time we do not know specifically which attractions will be under refurbishment during the time of your visit. Some room refurbishments will be taking place at the Caribbean Beach resort in 2023. The feature pool and whirlpool at the
Contemporary Resort will be closed for refurbishment during the time that you are there. Through early April 2023, the Fort Wilderness Meadow Swimmin’ pool and Whirlpool will be closed for refurbishment. Also, Narcoossee's, a signature dining restaurant at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, is scheduled to reopen in 2023. At
Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa, the High Rock Spring pool will be undergoing refurbishment through late March 2023. Keep checking out the Disney Parks Blog for any updated information on new refurbishments and attraction closures prior to your visit.
Wishing you a most Magical Disney vacation!
