Happy Holidays, Jennifer!
I'm so happy to welcome you to planDisney! It sounds like your trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth is coming up very soon...how exciting! No matter the season, a visit to Walt Disney World is always filled with magic. With so much to see and do, every visit feels unique, and you're sure to make memories that will last long after your return home. What a wonderful adventure you have ahead!
I completely understand wanting to know which attractions may be closed for refurbishment during your visit. Having that information ahead of time can make planning so much easier, especially if you're considering purchasing
Lightning Lane passes. I took a look at the
Hours & Events Calendar, and at this time, it appears that Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, both located at Magic Kingdom, are the only attractions scheduled to be closed for refurbishment during those dates. According to
a recent article on the Disney Parks Blog, both are expected to reopen in spring 2026.
Although your visit begins just after Christmas Day, you'll be happy to know that the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays will still be in full swing until December 30th! This festive celebration is a wonderful way to keep the holiday spirit going, with seasonal food and beverages from the
Holiday Kitchens, festive décor throughout World Showcase, and
special entertainment that brings holiday traditions from around the world to life. I hope you'll have some time to check it out and soak in all the extra holiday magic EPCOT has to offer.
Jennifer, I hope this information helps as you put the final touches on your trip planning! If any other questions come up along the way, please know you're always welcome to stop by and visit us again at planDisney!
Merry Wishes,
Kami
