We will be attending WDW for the first time this summer. We will be taking a 2 1/2 year old..any ideas on what we definitely need to see while we are there?? We already have our Character dining scheduled but wasn't sure what attractions we should see.

    Hi Cory,

How exciting to be taking your toddler to Disney to share in the magic and wonder. That is such a great age as everything will be so amazing. Great job on getting your character meals lined up. THose are quite popular and fill up quickly.

I would certainly plan on spending a great deal of time at Magic Kingdom. This park offers the largest number of attractions that can be enjoyed as a family and especially your child. Most of the attractions there are bench seating where you can sit with your child and include songs and characters that your child will easily recognize. You will also find numerous opportunities to meet the Disney pals and even visit Mickey and Minnie's houses. Great choices for attractions at this park include Dumbo, It's A Small World, Peter Pan's Flight. The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin.

Don't forget to schedule time at Hollywood Studios. Although there are a few attractions here that you can enjoy, like Toy Story Midway Mania and the Great Movie Ride, there are some amazing shows here like Voyage of the Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast and especially Playhouse Disney that your child should really enjoy. While visiting Epcot, be sure to check out Nemo and Turtle Talk at the Living Seas.

Remember to take plenty of breaks out of the sun and heat and go slow. There is no reason to try and get everything in as there is just to much to see and do. Take your time and enjoy Disney World at your child's pace. There will never be another first trip so be sure to cherish these memories.

    Enjoy!
